The included plate can be fitted with a loop bracket to hang the light from a ceiling hook. The loop is adjustable to accommodate both small modern hooks and the type of large hooks that were used in the 19th century and earlier.A wooden plate is also available with a side groove to allow input for a surface-mounted cord running along the ceiling. The wooden plate can also be used to create a purely decorative effect, accentuating the light's placement on the ceiling. In this case, the plate can be ordered without a cord groove.Extension rods can also be used to convert this light into a ceiling pendant.
