1920s Wallpaper

During the 1920s, interiors were influenced by a refined classicism, where elaborate decorations were replaced by clean lines. Walls were covered in wallpaper, often featuring geometric patterns of lines, circles, and stylized flowers. The color palette was muted – beige-brown backgrounds, darker shades, and classicist ornaments in green were common.

White ceiling paint was extended 20–30 cm down the wall, where the wallpaper began, often finished with a wooden molding or a wallpaper border.

Many wallpapers from this period were designed by Swedish artists and architects. Pair them with period-style woodwork in beige-brown or off-white to create an authentic 1920s interior.
