Light - Cobbler Nickel Rise and Fall Pendant

Polished nickel-plated brass with opal white glass shade.
5.791 kr (NOK)

This Cobbler rise and fall pendant is a reproduction of one of the first electrified lighting fixtures. Since the bulbs of this time were so weak, it was convenient to be able to pull the light closer when necessary. This model was first produced around 1880 and has always been popular. However, it was most prevalent up until the 1920s.

Finish: Nickel-plated brass
Light source: Ceramic E27 lamp holder (20W)
Adjustable height: Approximately 50 cm - 140 cm (20 – 55 in.)
Shade: Hand-blown opal white glass - height 85 mm (3.35 in.) with a bottom diameter of 250 mm (9.84 in.)
Diameter of ceiling plate : 120 mm (4.7 in.)
Cord: 2.9-meter (9.5 ft.) white textile cord

The lamp holder has a ceramic edge. The heat resistance of the ceramic material far exceeds that of both Bakelite and plastic. The cord is of the same type that was used during the 1880-1890s when cords were typically twisted and covered with fabric.

Note: you must select the right ceiling cable for this light. If you have an old-style light socket, you should choose an LP1 ceiling cord, and if you have a modern DCL light socket, you need a DCL ceiling cable. See below under Related Products.

You can also order the light with another type of shade, including green, brass, round, and more. Please contact us by email or phone if you would like this light in a version that is not shown on the website.

The light is compliant with the Swedish harmonized European standard SS-EN 605981.
