The Karlfeldt is a reproduction of a classic desk lamp from the 1890s. At the turn of the century, it was typically sold with a pointed shade, but in the 1920s, the shade design changed to a flatter model with vertical sides.
This beautiful lamp is made of untreated brass. The surface will oxidize, darken with age and develop a beautiful patina over time. The lamp features a 2.9 meter (9.5 ft.) dark brown textile cord as well as a switch on the base.
