The price includes a concealed bracket for hardwired installation. For fixed mounting, the bracket can be combined with a wooden backplate that allows side cable entry – for example, if a knob-and-tube or surface-mounted cord runs along the wall. The wooden plate can also serve a decorative purpose to accentuate the placement of the lamp and is preferably ordered without a cable groove.
