Size

This linseed oil wax is available in two sizes: 0.2 L or 1 L. The wax covers 20-40 m² (215-430 ft²) per liter.

Linseed oil wax can be used on all absorbent surfaces, such as wood floors, matte painted surfaces, wood, concrete, brick, slate, furniture, leather, etc. The wax provides for a water-repellent layer that can be cleaned with a mild mixture of linseed soap and water. The drying time is 1-2 days, and the wax is fully hardened after around 1 week. The drying time of twigs can take longer, depending on the sap in the twig and the thickness of the layer of wax. The wax should therefore be applied thinly, with all excess wax wiped off.

Linseed oil wax can be used to give already painted surfaces a new finish and a shiny luster (see image 3). All Allbäck linseed oil waxes can be mixed together to create personalized colors.

Application
Apply the wax with a hard sponge. Work the wax into the wood lengthwise, a few boards at a time. Let the wax sit for around 15-20 minutes. Wipe off excess wax with a rag (e.g., a terry cloth). You should be able to touch/walk on the surface directly without marks appearing in the wax. One layer should suffice. If you let the wax sit for several hours, then you will need a machine to remove the excess wax. Excess wax causes surfaces to become sticky and absorb dirt, all the while providing for an uneven shine.

Beware: Porous materials can combust. Always soak rags, clothes, etc. in water and seal them in a plastic bag when you are done.
