Liljeholmens Ecolabeled candles are made from 100% stearin with a wick of woven cotton. When you light the candle, it burns with a large, beautiful and soot-free flame. The oxygen-rich candle neither runs nor oozes. The wick is specially impregnated, the edge sharp and the bowl dry.
The wick in the candles is braided for it to bend to ninety degrees when the candle burns. Then the end of the wick is at the edge of the flame where the temperature is 1400 degrees, and the wick burns up completely and at the same rate as the candle. NOTE! Be sure to shorten the wick to about 1 cm before lighting the candle for the first time - to keep the candle from running and soot.
