Facts & Info - Wallpaper from Lim & Handtryck

Visiting Lim & Handprint's factory is like traveling for hundreds of years back in time. The wallpaper is printed with distemper and manufactured in the same way as in the 1700s and 1800s. Most patterns are printed with original printing rolls and some are reconstructions. Still today, an over-100-year-old surface print machine is used, the so-called "Rose machine," due to its exact pattern alignment.

Lim & Handtryck are mixing their own linseed oil starched distemper, made of mineral pigments. The color is also free from synthesizers and the wallpaper is wipeable. The products maintain high ecological quality and nearly all raw material is renewable. Something that fits well with today's environmental thinking, interior and restoration trends! Perhaps that is the secret of the beautiful, timeless wallpapers with its luster and brilliance?

Our website does not always do justice for these beautiful wallpapers regarding colors and designs, so please come into our store in Vikingagatan in Stockholm and browse the two wallpaper books: Kulturhistorisk bok and Red book.
