In the heart of Østerbro’s historic Komponistkvarter, digital creator Tikkie Elsøe has designed a bathroom where classic materials meet a carefully preserved turn-of-the-century aesthetic. With a passion for interiors and details that tell a story, she has created a space that feels just as natural today as it would have over a hundred years ago.
The walls are adorned with classic *half tile* white tiles from our Victoria series, a timeless favorite that, together with the dado rail, creates an elegant frame. The bathroom’s shower wall is tiled in the same style, ensuring a cohesive look. The glossy tiles beautifully reflect the light, integrating the shower space seamlessly with the rest of the room.
The floor features durable Winckelmans porcelain stoneware in a classic checkerboard pattern, combining white and soft pastel gray-blue tiles.
The Burlington pedestal sink serves as the room’s natural focal point, a period-appropriate detail that enhances the bathroom’s historic character. Above it, a rectangular Haga mirror in brass graces the wall, while a matching brass glass shelf provides space for the small details that make the room feel personal and lived-in.
By choosing materials and details that align with the home’s original character, Tikkie has created a bathroom where history and modernity come together effortlessly. The result is a classic bathroom that will remain beautiful for decades to come.
