Door handles with back plates became more common after the turn of the century around the 1900s. Both the rectangular variants and those with curved shape on the top and bottom were commonly used.
Our door handles are sold complete with rosettes for old original doors or through bolts that fit modern doors with a 4 cm hole. If you want a door handle with a back plate instead of the round rosette, we have some complete variants to choose from, but far from all possible combinations.
