The white parts are made of "Recine," which is an imitation of porcelain. The mixer fits in a standard 35 mm (1.38 in.) hole.
This mixer can also be ordered in other finishes besides chrome (in picture), such as untreated brass, gold/chrome, gold, brushed chrome, aged copper, and bronze (sometimes called aged brass).
