From 117 kr (DKK)
Size

Linseed oil wax is available in two sizes: 2 dl or 1 litre. The wax covers 20-40 sqm per liter.

Linseed oil wax can be used on all absorbent surfaces such as wood floors, matted painted surfaces, wood, concrete, brick, slate, furniture, leather etc. The wax gives a water repellent surface that can be cleaned with a mild mixture of linseed soap and water. The drying time is 1-2 days and the wax is fully hardened in about 1 week. The drying time of twigs can be longer depending on sap in the twig and the thickness of the layer of the wax. That is why the wax shall be applied thin and all excess wax wiped off.

Linseed oil wax can advantageously be used to give already painted areas a new surface finish and shiny luster (see image 3). All Allbäck's linseed oil waxes are miscible with each other if you want a custom color mixing.

Application
Apply the wax with a hard sponge. Working in the wood longitudinal direction of some boards at a time. Allow the wax to suck in about 15 - 20 mins. Wipe off the excess with a rag, like terry cloth. It shall be possible to walk/touch the wax surface directly without getting marks in the wax. It is enough with one treat/layer. If the wax is allowed to dry out several hours machining is necessary to remove excess. Too much wax provides a sticky surface with uneven gloss and will be dirt absorbant.

Note: Risk of self-ignition in porous materials. Soak rags etc in water and seal in a plastic bag when you are done.
